Diego Giuliani received a Laurea degree in Computer Science from the
University of Milan in 1986. He joined ITC-irst, now Bruno Kessler
Foundation (FBK), in 1988. Since then he has been doing research in
automatic speech recognition with particular interest in acoustic
modeling, large-vocabulary speech recognition, speaker adaptation,
microphone arrays and neural networks. During 1989 he was a Visiting
Researcher at McGill University, Montreal, Canada. He has been
actively involved in several EU funded projects: SPEEDATA, CoreTex,
ECHO, PF-STAR, TC-STAR and Jumas.
Currently he is senior researcher at FBK within the
Human Language Technology Unit and his
research interests include speaker adaptation/normalization, robust
speech recognition, acoustic modeling and children's speech
recognition.
